Amor Fati

Even if it's not within modern ideas of morality to take comfort in fate, I find myself doing it all the time. My favorite example from psychology: Identical twins raised together share their genes, family environment, (and to a large degree) their peer group, yet they are not, actually, identical. There is quite a lot unexplained variance. This is the variance of random events, chance differences in neurodevelopment... in a word, fate. How boring would life be without this? Doesn't it resonate somewhere deep within all people that the world we know is something we were delivered to by this fate? And if so why not rejoice in that?
